Success in Affiliate Marketing Without Google Traffic?

Can your Affiliate Marketing blog be successful without Google?

I was reading a blog this morning about Google’s recent algorithm changes and saw a comment asking if you can be successful without Goggle traffic. I thought it was an interesting questions and that it would be a good topic for my post today….

This really is not an easy question to answer in terms of just saying yes or no. I believe the initial answer to the question is ‘no’. However at the same time, I think you can answer it with a yes. Let me explain.

First and foremost, there really isn’t a way to avoid Google. Google is the most popular search engine today. No matter how hard you may try to avoid Google, it’s going to nearly impossible. Once you understand that, it’s a good idea to keep yourself aware Google’s algorithm changes whenever they occur. You can find all the information you need on Google Webmaster tools. I also found a site, WebProNews that has some helpful posts on the matter.

Something to keep in mind, if you act as if Google doesn’t exist, you will find that Google may actually like your content even more. See, Google’s recent updates effected spammers and those who have a ton of invalid backlinks. So, if you are following the rules and sticking with the “white hat” tactics, then you can almost act as if Google doesn’t exist. As noted above, you just need to keep yourself informed or aware of their ever evolving changes.

Basically, it’s all about providing high quality blog content. High quality blog content means it has something to offer that people aren’t getting elsewhere. High quality content almost always gets shared across various social networks, talked about, and linked to. This in itself drives traffic. High quality content is also exactly what Google wants, so your Affiliate Marketing site will rank well pretty much on its own.

So, when you write the content for your Affiliate Marketing blog, don’t worry about Google. Just focus on your niche and provide the high quality content your readers want and deserve. That way you will find a lot more ways of driving good, high quality traffic to your Affiliate Marketing site. Do that and the Google stuff will pretty much take care of itself.

If you would like more information you may want to read my post on Google’s recent update (Google’s Latest Update & Your Rankings). I have also done several post on blogging that will provide helpful tips on blogging and providing high quality content.

Thats it for now, until my next post…
