Financial Independence With Multiple Streams of Income

One of the great things about Affiliate Marketing is that it allows you to work from home. Another great thing about Affiliate marketing it that it allows you freedom, so that you can create multiple steams of income. Creating multiple streams of income is really easy. Think about it, streams flow into rivers and rivers flow to the ocean. So having multiple streams of income greatly increases your chances of financial independence.

Let me back up a bit. In my post Increase Traffic With A SEO Service, I wrote that when I initially started blogging, I would go to Yahoo Answers and look for open questions that related to my niche. One question that I found most often was, what are the various ways of making money at home or online.

There are several ways of creating multiple streams of income for anyone who is working from home. I wrote a post (Simple Easy Ways to Earn Money Online) in which I provided ideas. In this post  I thought I would provide more detail.

Your Affiliate Marketing Blog-

It depends on what your online business is, but for the sake of this post, lets just say that your blog is your biggest stream or the main source of income. Within your Affiliate Marketing blog, you can create multiple streams of income by including multiple affiliate programs or links within your blog site and/or posts.

My previous post (Choosing a Successful Niche), provides tips about focusing on your niche, which you definitely need to do However, you can subscribe to multiple affiliate programs that go with or compliment your niche. You can include the link to these programs on your blog page and/or within your posts. There are just a few things that you should keep in mind.

  • Your affiliate links should relate and/or complement each other. This is the most important thing to remember, especially with Affiliate Marketing. Consider your niche and then consider the affiliate links that you have on your site/blog.  Ask yourself if they conflict or if they compliment each other. If you are not sure, ask a friend or family member. If your affiliate link conflicts or doesn’t compliment your niche, its best to delete it and find something else that works better.
  • Limit your affiliate links. You definitely want to have more than one affiliate link on your blog or within your posts. However, you really should to try to limit them. Maybe put 1 or 2 in your post and maybe 4 or 5 in your site. Now I am just saying 4 or 5 since that is a good number for someone who is just starting out in Affiliate Marketing. You can have more or less. However I really don’t think that you want to have too many, like 10 or 15. I think that is too many to manage.
  • Consider having more than one (1) blog. As noted above, your affiliate links should compliment each other and you really should limit them. So, lets say you struggling with the processes above because you found a lot of affiliate programs that don’t really compliment each other. Or maybe you are struggling to limit your affiliate links because you found so many good ones. This actually is a good problem to have and maybe you should consider creating another blog. There’s no rule that says you can only have one. Why not, it could turn out to be yet another stream of income for you.

Other Streams-

So, lets say that your Affiliate Marketing blog is the main stream in income. In addition to your blog, you can create other income streams by doing other things. This is really helpful for someone who is just starting out in Affiliate Marketing, since like any other business, it takes time for that to become successful and in getting sustained traffic.

Online S As noted in my post Simple Easy Ways to Earn Money Online, one thing you can do is online sales, through eBay, Amazon or even Craigslist.  I have sold a lot of things on eBay and Craigslist. I made good money doing it and I actually used that money to start my Affiliate Marketing business. For me though, this was short-term since ran out of things to sell. Some people may not have this issue and selling things online becomes another one of their income streams.

Online Surveys- I think online surveys are a great idea for creating another stream of income. Now I am partial to one site (Surveys Paid)  since it’s the one that I use. Whichever you choose, make sure you check them out first. In doing that, consider how much they pay per survey and what do they do with your information after you sign up. I found that the free sites have low paying surveys and they sell your information. So, after signing up, you get a ton of spam.

Freelance Writing- When I used to go to Yahoo Answers to help increase my site’s traffic, I saw that a lot of people would advise that it’s a good source of income. If you Google freelance writing, you will see that there is plenty of information out there for you to check out. I can’t speak to it personally, as I do on the subjects above, since I haven’t yet tried it. My other streams (so to speak) keep me busy, so I haven’t really had the time. But if you are just starting out in Affiliate Marketing and are looking to create multiple streams of income, you should probably check it out.

There are a lot of ways of making money online and I have only provided a few idea’s above. The way I look at it is, having multiple streams of income is a smart idea for everyone. The more streams of income, the faster your river accumulates.

That’s it for now, until the next post…..

I am really loving the theme/design of your blog. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems? A few of my blog readers have complained about my blog not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Opera. Do you have any advice to help fix this problem?

Hi there just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your article seem to be running off the screen in Safari. I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let you know. The style and design look great though! Hope you get the issue solved soon. Cheers
