I am self-employed as an Affiliate Marketer and am among the masses who work from home. Proudly I call my home my office and that is where I work on my Affiliate Marketing business
Whether you work for yourself or an established employer you are likely to face obstacles similar to those that I encountered. Early on as my Affiliate Marketing business was being established, I made a few mistakes and ran into a few obstacles. I have since learned from those mistakes and have overcome those obstacles.
In my previous post (Stay Motivated & Focused While Working From Home), I provided tips on keeping your morning ritual, tuning out distractions, taking breaks, staying on firm ground, along with fresh air and Sunlight. In this post I thought I provide you with some more.
Functional Workspace- Setting up a functional workspace is critical to the success from a work from home employee. Try setting up your space so that it contains all of the necessary equipment that you need. You may decorate or customize your workspace just try to keep distractions to a minimum.
Maintain a Professional Attitude- Maintaining a professional attitude is very important for the work from home employee. Make sure you answer the phone professionally, by saying your company name or even just your name (Hello, this is XXXXX). You should also answer all e-mails professionally and make sure you include your business information at the end. A home office may be an informal environment that affords you the luxury of dressing casually. However, client interactions should always follow certain decorum. Keeping your interactions businesslike will ensure that the client does not begin to doubt the amount or quality of work that is being put into their projects.
Don’t Over Extend Yourself- Avoid volunteering for too many activities. Many people will assume that because you work at home you are free to help them run errands, pick up their children from school or be an emergency contact. While you may want to help your friends and family members, it is important to make it clear that your work is just as important as theirs and that you have obligations to take care of each day.
A Working Schedule- Establishing a working schedule is also important. My previous post (Stay Motivated & Focused While Working From Home) went over some information about keeping your morning ritual and taking breaks. However, it doesn’t really discus having regularly scheduled hours. Scheduled hours for the work from home employee really helps to be more efficient during these times. So try to schedule work time as well as break times so that you will not become overwhelmed. One of the pitfalls that some work from home employees fall into is working too many hours. In an office there is a clear signal to the end of the day as other employees start to leave the office for the day but at home employees sometimes have difficulty ending their day.
Motivate Yourself- Being able to motivate yourself is critical for the work at home entrepreneur. In an office situation, a supervisor and/or co-workers may motivate you to complete your work. But for someone who is or wants to work from home, you will find that you only have yourself to push you to succeed.
The tips noted in this post and my previous post have helped me to work effectively from home. You may find other tricks or ideas that help you to improve your efficiency and productivity. The important thing to remember is that your home based job deserves the same attention and dedication as an office position. Following the tips that I have provided in this post, along with the tips provided in my previous post will help you to become a lucrative and productive home based worker.

I’m not sure why but this website is loading very slow for me. Is anyone else having this problem or is it a issue on my end? I’ll check back later and see if the problem still exists.

Perfect function you’ve performed, this website is actually interesting with wonderful information. Time is God’s strategy for preserving almost everything from occurring simultaneously….
